Keep up with your dental checkups – they're vital to your overall health and wellbeing. Good dental care goes beyond keeping your smile bright; research shows a strong connection between oral health and overall health. Regular checkups help your dentist spot problems that could lead to serious medical issues if unaddressed.
How It Works
• Team members can choose from one dental plan: Dental PPO, administered by MetLife.
• This plan pays 100% of preventive services. For other dental services, benefits and out-of-pocket costs apply.
Who is eligible?
• U.S. employees, scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week (excludes temporary employees).
• Eligible dependents include spouse, domestic partner, and legal child dependents under 26.
Your costs
Samuel pays a portion of your dental costs. You pay your share in two ways:
• Premium contributions: You pay a portion of the dental insurance premium through pretax deductions from your pay. The amount depends on the plan you choose and your coverage tier.
• Out-of-pocket costs: If and when you receive care, you will pay a portion of those expenses through an annual deductible and/or coinsurance.
What to do
• Take advantage of twice-yearly dental cleanings, paid at 100%.
• Register through the MetLife portal to view and take advantage of your benefits.
